Kon Tiki Pepper Steak: Tender Sliced Steak, Bell Peppers $ Mushrooms over Rice

This month we are continuing our celebration of international foods.

November we are showcasing another beef dish. This one is Polynesian and Orient inspired
Kon Tiki Pepper Steak.

This dish is named after the famous raft Thor Heyerdahl sailed from Peru to Polynesia in 1947. I invite you to learn more fun facts about the Kon Tiki.

November Lunch Special

Sergio and Ronny sliver sirloin beef and pan sear them in our big steam kettle.

They add chicken stock and Soy sauce. They slow cook the steak and allow the sauce to thicken.

At just the right time crisp bell peppers and button mushrooms are stirred in. The mixture is allowed to simmer until the delicate flavors blend exquisitely with the tender slivers of steak.

Served over fluffy white rice.

In staying with the oriental theme the Kon Tiki Pepper Steak is served with Egg Rolls.

A cool Fruit Tray of Melons, Strawberries, Oranges, Grapes, and Apple Slices finish off this complete lunch.
